My passion for photography was ignited in 7th grade while on yearbook staff. Our teacher handed me the camera and said “you’re our photographer!" I found such joy in making pictures, processing film, printing and learning all the technical details thus began a journey for most of my life. I continued my love affair with a home darkroom and better gear but eventually put it down to build an adult life and career. Many thousands of rolls of film later digital happened…I didn’t fall in love in the beginning! Meanwhile I built a successful career as an IT executive eventually serving as global leader of Data and Artificial Intelligence for a high profile technology consultancy.Â
But I am also an artist. I penned my first play at the age of 10 and fell in love with acting and singing. I was also a pretty good sketch artist at a young age and even had my own newsletter and printing press at home!  Many years later a 10 year stint in an improvisational comedy and musical sketch group gave me ample outlet for tons of creative energy.
With a deep appreciation for art and a global job I traveled the world and admired great works of art in museums across many continents.  Now in my second career as an artist and photographer I am compelled to push the limits of photographic expression flauting the rules of photojournalism and the pixel peeping obsession with digital sharpness above all things. I am an artist who happens to use the camera as a paint brush and software as the palette and medium.Â
